What is FLUX 3 Klein?

FLUX 3 Klein is the compact model in FLUX 3, Black Forest Labs' newest family of image models. It is distilled for speed and low cost, so it suits jobs where you make many versions and keep one. It does two things here: text to image, and image to image, where you upload 1 to 10 photos and describe the change. Pictures come out at 1K, 2K or 4K in nine shapes, from tall 9:21 to wide 21:9.

What it is good at

What you can do with FLUX 3 Klein

  • Combine up to 10 photos

    Upload a product, a person and a place, then say how they go together. Call them "the first image", "the second image" and so on, in upload order.

  • Change one thing, keep the rest

    Swap a background, a piece of clothing or a color, and say what must stay. In our tests the face, pose and layout held.

  • Words on posters and edits

    Put the words in quotes and it spells them out, or replaces the title on an existing poster. Read every word before you use the picture.

  • Photo looks and illustration

    Studio product light, daylight catalog shots, film grain, flat graphics and 3D renders all come from the same model.

  • Wide and tall shapes up to 4K

    Nine shapes from 9:21 to 21:9 at 1K, 2K or 4K, for banners, phone wallpapers and slides.

How to use FLUX 3 Klein

  1. 1

    Write a prompt or upload photos

    Describe the picture, or upload 1 to 10 photos and say what should change and what should stay. Put any words that must appear in quotes.

  2. 2

    Pick a size and shape

    Start at 1K; 2K and 4K need a paid pack or plan. When you edit, the Auto shape follows the first photo you uploaded.

  3. 3

    Generate and compare

    In our tests each image took under half a minute. If a detail is off, add it to the prompt and run again.
